MERA Receives Russia HR Brand 2010 Award
February, 10, 2011, Moscow – MERA, an Eastern Europe's leader in value-added software R&D services, was announced to receive HR Brand 2010 Award. The company has earned a silver in the “Region” nomination for cooperation with universities and “From Knowledge to Success” education program, which strengthens the company`s well-deserved standing in Russia.
HR Brand Award is an independent annual prize for the most considerable achievements in employer branding. It rewards a company`s success within a business community, among experts and colleagues, clients and jobseekers. The award was introduced in 2006 to foster development of corporate culture and promote effective approach towards Human Resources management. Projects of the applicants are implemented in the Russian market and are evaluated in accordance with the requirements to the most effective HR strategies globally. The best employers are selected following the results of jobseeker survey by a competent jury which consists of employer branding, recruitment and HR consulting experts. Among the past winners of the Award are Google, Citibank, Intel, PricewaterhouseCoopers and other companies.
The “Knowledge for Success” education program which has earned MERA the Award is aimed at providing students and recent graduates with opportunities to acquire technology specific skills and expertise. The goal of the program is to bridge the gap between universities curriculum and IT industry. As part of the program, the company organizes a series of special projects – “MERA Dimension” Summer School, “gaME Race” and “Best Coders Challenge” contests, MERA Days in the leading universities, etc.. Besides, MERA actively cooperates with Nizhny Novgorod IT University and Higher School of Economics on innovative education projects putting great effort into development of IT education.
