MERA Experts will Share Their View on Temporary Social Networks at CEE-SECR 2014
October, 22, 2014, Santa Clara, CA – MERA will take part in Central and Eastern European Software Engineering Confrence in Russia (CEE-SECR) – an annual international conference on software development which will take place on October 23-25 at Digital October Center in Moscow. Maxim Leykin, MERA Mobile Applications CTO Manager, and Alexander Korshak, MERA team leader, will share insights about the opportunities of Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi protocols for building temporary social networks.
MERA experts will present and demonstrate two approaches towards building temporary social networks for Android and iOS devices. One approach consists in using Bluetooth Low Energy protocol together with smart logic on backend side, the other one is based on Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi direct protocol. The target audience of the technology is users located in one place eager to share some information (participants of business meetings, students in a class-room, tourists in a bus, etc.).
Last year MERA representatives delivered 3 presentations at CEE-SECR - `Cross-platform mobile applications: typical issues and possible solutions`, `Creating real-time media applications for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure` and `WebRTC: Call me from your browser!`
Organized since 2005, CEE-SECR is the key annual software event in Central and Eastern Europe that is regularly attended by over 700 participants from local industry. The conference total reach is over 1 million software and IT people from CEE region (online and media coverage). The event was initially positioned as Russian, but attracted speakers from 20 countries and regular attendees from even more, so in 2009 the conference was repositioned as a CEE event. The conference boasts a high quality program with acceptance rate about 35%. The list of keynote speakers from previous conferences includes software thought leaders, VPs and Technical Fellows of major high-tech corporations. Visit http://2014.secr.ru/ for more information.
