MERA, an Eastern Europe's leader in Telecom/IT software R&D services, took part in Central and Eastern European Software Engineering Conference in Russia (CEE-SECR 2009).
Organized since 2005, CEE-SECR is the key annual software event in Central and Eastern Europe that is regularly attended by over 500 participants from local industry. Its total reach is over 1 million software and IT people from CEE region (online + media coverage).
Vladimir Khorev, MERA’s spokesperson at CEE-SECR, and Alexander Kondakov, SEI Certified Lead Appraiser and Instructor at Inspirex Consulting, presented a talk on “CMMI® implementation and appraisal: a view from two sides”.The talk covered CMMI® practices implementation in multimodel and multistandard environment, compliance to the ISO 9001 and TL9000 standards and the results of the final appraisal in MERA. The presentation aimed at helping specialists to avoid internal problems with CMMI® practices implementation as well as to better understand the point of view of external consultants and appraisers.
MERA’s speaker also took part in the workshop “How to combine CMMI and Agile in real life projects to optimize your engineering processes”, held by CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser and CMMI Instructor Hillel Glazer. The best approaches covered in the workshop alongside with quality management standards and models serve as a valuable guideline for the further improvement of MERA’s process agility, quality and efficiency.
