August 01, 2008 — MERA, an Eastern Europe's leader in software R&D services for Telecom, has announced its mid-year milestones. Since the beginning of the year MERA has demonstrated unprecedented 12, 6 % growth within all the current projects as compared to the second half of the last year. During this period MERA established new highly promising business relationships, gained expertise in new technological areas and expanded its geographical presence. By the end of 2008 we are expecting the company's growth to reach 25%.

To date, MERA's scope of work consists of software development services (60%), maintenance and support services (30%), QA or testing/verification services (10%). Currently about 75% of MERA's projects are based on the model with full technical responsibility for every software development stage — from software architecture to 24/7 support issues.

In addition to wireless (2G, 3G) and fixed networks, MERA significantly increased its expertise in the domain of converged communications, i.e. IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), as well as of IP-based solutions (IP TV, multi-service IP networks, etc). In the first half of 2008 MERA has embarked on a new technological path - Professional Services, which proved to be in great demand among telecom operators and companies with advanced communications infrastructure. Such services may include applications development and integration with various customers' business applications and systems (e.g. ERP, CRM).

Taken together, these highlights demonstrate MERA' steady growth and testify to its constant improvement in every aspect of performance. Therefore, with such outstanding results, we will be able to create even greater value for our customers and provide even more professional and career opportunities for our staff.
