Our history

Founded on innovation

MERA was founded in 1989 by researcher, inventor, and serial entrepreneur Dmitry Ponomarev, along with several academic colleagues from Nizhny Novgorod Technical University. Initially focused on highly specialized radio-physics applications, Mr. Ponomarev grew the company into a global software R&D leader, helping some of the world’s most influential companies deliver transformative solutions. Today MERA is an international corporation with headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, R&D centers in Russia and Serbia, an office in Silicon Valley, and delivery centers strategically located to serve our global customer base.
