Robotics

Since 2009, Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Information Technology (NNIIT) has been providing LEGO and ARDUINO robotics training for school-aged children. More than 400 students aged 8-18 years old take robotics training courses every year.

NNIIT-based educational programs prioritize developing logical thinking, algorithmic and programming skills, and teach students to foster these skills while playing. Children attend special summer and winter robotics schools as well as robotics courses, and actively participate in various competitions.

It is customary for teams from NNIIT to place high in Nizhny Novgorod region robotics competitions and games. Every year students take part in biggest robotics contests in Russia. Since 2010, NNIIT has assumed a role of regional operator of the All-Russian Robotics Olympiad which is part of the World Robot Olympiad. MERA always sponsors these competitions and helps with the educational process.
